Good choice for video voiceover, podcasts, etc
This is the mic I should have gotten to begin with. The sound quality is superior and I can get decent volume while talking at a normal level. It is just a USB plug so setting it up is a snap. I use it with Cyberlink Power Director 2025 so it is compatible with the computer and software. Good value for the quality.

Sounds better than any $100 mic with A/D has a right to sound
As good as the first-gen original. As an audio guy, this mic sounds better than it has any right to sound for $100. The capsule engineering is completely bonkers and makes no sense... until you hear it. This is THE mic I recommend to anyone who wants to start podcasting. It's foolproof. Is it a Neumann U67? No. But the Neumann also doesn't have an A/D converter built in or multiple patterns and it's not, uh, $100. And the Neumann requires some technique and will pop plosives and sss sylibants. Somehow, the Yeti doesn't. I have no idea how that works. I have fancy mics, but this is my go-to when I need to plug-n-play without futzing with other gear.

An excellent mic for the price!
I am very pleased with this mic. The sound it awesome and it's very easy to use. I like that the focus of the mic pattern can change according to your situation with the turn of a dial.

Good if you buy it for the right reasons
I bought this after my colleagues complained about my sound quality on the dozen zoom calls we all do every day. I had been using the integrated microphone on my webcam and I think it finally gave up so I bought this one after some online article recommended it. I don’t know or care anything about audio finer points or details. Probably if you read the details in the specs and understand things about audio none of my notes will be a surprise, but this is not a topic that interests me so I just bought it.Pros:-Cool vintage look-It picks me up perfectly from about two feet away so you can set it off to the side a bit-Easy set up, it’s plug and play. No drivers no installation, no drama. Just plug it in and start talking-Microphone seems to pick up my voice very well and so far no garbling or interference from my other devices right next to itCons-For better or worse the default for this mic is “on.” As far as I can tell there is no power button so unless you want the mic on all day you have to put it on mute when you’re not using it. Very easy, but the mute button blinks red so it will blink at you all day which I find annoying. You can’t just turn it off when you aren’t using it, short of unplugging it which is kind of a pain but I guess manageable.- The mic has a jack to attach your headphones to so you can hear from it as well which is great, but do note that you need headphones. It won’t let you talk into it and listen from it simultaneously if you’re not using headphones. Makes sense I guess (?) but is kind of a bummer-Surprisingly large and heavy. Doesn’t really matter if it’s just sitting on your desk but the diameter of the base is surprisingly 5 inches, it’s 12 inches tall, and it weighs at least 1-2 lbs which is not nothing if you plan to move it often.I have not messed around with any of the fine tuning like like the gain or pattern dial. Whatever the default is has been fine for my purposes. If all of that sounds fine to you then you’re going to love it
