This does exactly what it says it does!
This is a magic bullet for diabetes blood sugar medicine! My daily numbers have all dropped down to double digits. My A1C has improved by more than a whole point. It's magnificent! If you're not going to research berberine then you need to know you're not supposed to take it beyond 6 months. So every 6 weeks I take a 1 week break so I'll be able to take over the long haul. (Another option that was suggested is take it Mon-Fri and take the weekends off. I'm going to switch to this option when I get ready to start up again). If you do research it and they tell you it's comparable to metformin. No it's not! Not one bit! First of all metformin never did anything but give me the runs. 2nd is berberine actually works very well with no side effects. Luma Nutrition is the best. 1,200 mg 1 time a day and you're done! I always take it with dinner. (About 20-30 minutes before I eat) It has worked wonders on my numbers! The very first night I took it - I skipped my insulin 70 units - and when I took my 1st reading it was 83! Without the insulin! Before with insulin my numbers were up to 160 or so to 200+! Now I'm not recommending you to skip your insulin if you have a bedtime insulin. I always skip a night or two here and there. sadly to make it last longer. But that's just me and my choice! YOU need to MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICE! Be very careful and find out what works best for you. I still took my night insulin if my number was a little high before bed. But I'd only need 40 units at most. But I worked my way down to that little by little. I told my doc everything and showed him my numbers and what I've managed with my insulin and he was really happy and approved me doing it. I did ask for SOME insulin just incase I needed it. When I say a little high before bed I mean like 120-130 at most. I don't take insulin when my number is in double digits. It's scary and very dangerous to crash while you're asleep. And that happened to me a few times. And you must know I haven't changed 1 single thing in my diet or exercise (which was none) at all. NOTHING! I can only imagine what I could do with a couple of tweaks. I'll get there when I'm ready cuz those are 2 new impacts on blood sugar and something else I'd need to work out. Y'all see what I'm saying? This is the real deal tho! Just be careful with it. Good luck everybody! Stay safe!

It was good.. until it wasn’t and ended up really sick from it
It was good.. until it wasn’t . I had this on my auto subscription because I had been taking it for almost a year. I do believe it helped my blood sugar levels drop, but the side effects I started having were horrible . I started getting horrible stomach issues such as severe bloating where it looked like I was pregnant from the bloating . I would get horrible acid reflux that no anti acid would help and also had the worst bowel movements. I didn’t know what was the culprit and started eliminating certain foods. It got so bad that I would go weeks without eating only being able to eat soup, crackers and tea. I went to the doctor’s several times and finally my doctor recommended a endoscopy/colonoscopy be done . I also had a CT scan done and that came back showing my large intestines were significantly swollen, which was so painful!! My endoscopy/colonoscopy came back clear, thank God. They couldn’t figure out why my intestines were swollen and just gave me nausea pills that they give to people on chemo ( that’s how bad my nausea was) and I was on a very bland diet . I started making a list of the things I was eating only the regular and supplements I was taking . I started down the list writing down how I felt when I’d eat a specific food & eliminating it as I went . Well, the only supplement left that I was taking was this berberine. I decided to cut it out too. It took a couple of weeks for my stomach to settle after I stopped taking it , but then I was back to normal as if nothing had happened. I started reintroducing the foods and supplements which I had cut out… they gave me no issues. The only thing I didn’t add back was this berberine . So beware of your start having intestinal/stomach issues, because this specific brand of berberine may be the culprit. I am now on another brand of berberine and have had zero issues thus far. I dislike complaining or adding bad reviews, but I thought I’d share this in hopes of sparing someone from going through what I went through, so if you have a sensitive stomach or start having one, stay clear of this one ! It was horrible being at the ER several times, being in pain and losing that time with loved one’s when I wasn’t feeling well .

It was so...so bad
I'll try to make this short. The pills are easy to take, no taste. For me, that was the only good...No flu, covid, or worse hangover of my life made as violently ill as these pills did. 5 hours after taking 1 pill 30 mins before dinner, and I was extremely nauseous and vomiting every 15 mins for 3 hours straight. Sickness continued throughout the next 2 days as well as other issues that would send one running to the bathroom. Do I know it was the pills? Yes. Because like a dummy, it happened to me twice (the first time I thought one of my kids passed along a stomach bug). Best advice is to ask your doctor how they feel about this supplement!
