I thought it was over priced too
I’ve been eyeing these bags for years. I finally bit the bullet, I carry multiple laptops for work and travel weekly. My work backpack was getting to be too much. This one helped me streamline my packing and its great quality. I’d buy it again

Fantastic tech bag!
I have used this bag for a little over a year now, and it's still holding up well. I use it primarily for work. All the different compartments are great for storing laptop accessories as well as hand tools I may need. The fit and function are fantastic. The large built-in bottle holders have been great; they fit my 28-oz bottles snugly. I absolutely love that it sits upright; it comes in handy on so many occasions. Well worth the investment!

Seriously well thought out bag.
Nomantic Backpack 14L (not the travel backpack)Arrived on time, well packaged.I am in love with this backpack. It is the perfect size for everday. At 5'6", the 20L was just too big on my frame.I opted for the regular backpack over their incredible travel one as I intended this for my daily carry bag and wanted the extra organizers in the main compartment. It is well made. No loose threads, no zipper issues other than the normal one from going around a corner, material does repel water, straps are comfortable, and the organization options are out of this world.I use it in it's compressed state, but have expanded it and fit a sml/med sized packing cube. Like others I found the key fob placement a bit hard to reach when slinging the pack around, but as it clips onto a strap inside that pocket, it was easy to remove and place where I wanted it.I actually have 4 pockets with nothing to put in them yet. It is that well organized. So would I change anything?Yeah, little nit picky stuff.1. The sunglass box seems very large in this smaller pack. I removed it & use my regular case. I like the 'idea' of it, just takes up more space when I don't need one that large.2. Really wish they'd kept the 4 zipper opening from version one. It would make it easier to set 2 zippers for top opening and 2 for side opening without having to keep moving them around.3. RFID pocket. Maybe in a future version they will consider making it a 3 side unzip with the 2 pulls. Would make it so much easier to get into when slinging it around one shouldered. Yes I know, it's a backpack, but who hasn't carried a backpack one shouldered, or needed to grab their wallet out at the store without having to take the whole thing off.Again, these are not deal breakers for me, just 'how could it be better' stuff. I agonized for weeks over this purchase. It IS expensive. But when I think what I've spent in 2yrs trying to find the 'perfect' backpack vs. How many boxes this pack checks off, I pulled the trigger & don’t regret it.

Love everything but the zippers
UPDATE 2023-08I'm just shy of two years since having bought this. I've used it as my carry on for at least 32 international flights and used it as my daily commute bag between home/hotel and office. Other reviewers have complained about it scratching/scuffing easily, but I haven't found that to be true. If I wipe it with a damp rag, it looks almost new.I was worried about the zippers, but they've held up. They loosen up a bit after some use, though they still are not very smooth zipping around the corners. But I've made my peace with the zippers. My only remaining complaint is the flaps for tucking away the straps. I basically ignore them. I was hoping to use them to tuck away the straps when putting through metal detectors at the airport and before storing in the overhead bin or under the seat in the airplane, but I rarely bother because they just are not very convenient to use. This is still the best travel and work-commute bag I've owned. I have various Tumi laptop bags gathering dust because they just don't compare to the convenience and comfort of this bag.But this is by no means a rugged or even practical bag for heavy tourist or backpacking travel. It is best for work travel for those who have to travel with multiple devices and peripherals. I basically use it to carry my work and personal laptops, a Kindle, my medicine, headset, and various cords, charging blocks, batteries, etc. I'm not packing clothes or documents in it.PRIOR REVIEWI've found my perfect laptop for my current work. I work mostly overseas, returning home every 4-6 weeks. I also work in a part of the world where I have to go through at least 5-6 security checks every trip. I travel with a larger and fairly heavy 15.2" screen, Lenovo p52 laptop, a new Macbook Pro, my Kindle Oasis, and various cords, adapters, travel battery chargers, and external hard drives. This bag, amazingly, holds it all and very compactly. Even with two laptops' related gear, the bag will fit under the seat in front of me in an airplane if overhead space isn't available. My favorite feature is that the top of the main compartment can be partly opened to get ready access to the laptops to pull out for security. This has been a lifesaver given the amount of security I have to deal with. And back at my accommodations or in an airport terminal, you can open the main or secondary areas and the fold down revealing everything neatly stored in the various pockets.NOMATIC really put a lot of thought into the organization. It was like they read my mind on how to design a bag for IT or business travelers with lots of digital devices. There is a place for everything an most of it is readily accessible. The more I use this bag, the more things I keep learning to like about it.There are some areas for improvement though.First, the zippers. They are fine, but I worry that they are not sturdy and will not hold out. I'm guessing that the design was to help keep the bag water resistant. But the material that covers them has waxy feeling that creates resistance when opening and closing the bag. They've loosened a bit with time. But they also don't seem very durable. I'm used to ultra-tough bags like those from Red Ox, which have incredible zippers. If the NOMATIC zippers last a year or so, I'll be happy. We'll see. [See Update - zippers have held out just fine for almost two years' heavy use].Next, overall durability. It feels durable enough, other than the zippers, but this is no tough backpack for extreme conditions. Should be okay for your daily commute and for air travel. Still, I don't expect that this bag will hold out much past a year with my fairly heavy use. But I love the organization and functionality of the bag so much, I could see buying it again every couple years, unless I find something with the same great organizational design features but more durable. [Update: still going strong after almost two years' heavy use].The strap-hideaway flaps. These are great to tuck away the backpack arm straps so you can just carry the bag by the top or side handle. I like to do this just before a board the plane, as it makes it easier to neatly store the bag under the seat in front of you or the overhead. But I find it can be inconvenient to get the snaps to engage and more often than not I don't bother it unless I have a couple minutes to fuss with it. I've not found it convenient enough to quickly tuck away the straps while in the boarding line. [Update: have come to really dislike dealing with the strap-hideaway flaps, I rarely bother using them as I find them inconvenient to use.]Lastly the reading glass compartment. It is a nice idea and I used it at first, but I found the square plastic top to be inconvenient to remove and replace. Also it would be easy to misplace or drop the container lid. Also, the container is quite bulky and when the bag is full, it can be difficult to access the pocket below it. I ended up removing it and just use that pocket to store my case that came with my reading glasses.Overall, this is the best travel bag I've found for hauling two laptops and associated gear through security and compact enough to fit under the seat in front of you if there is no overhead space or if you want ready access to your bag.

Poor quality! Terrible customer service, not worth it!
I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BRAND AGAIN*Update, I sent 2 responses to Nomadic, the rep who responded to my email didn’t even read what I wrote or looked at the picture I sent, how do I know that? The response I got was super vague and frankly insulting, it included wording like “if you feel the product was defective “ not a feeling a fact supported by pictures! They have yet to respond again since mid week last week.So disappointingexpensive for the poor quality and poorly made product. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BRAND AGAIN
